Sigma-One Advantage: Service

The Sigma-One Trust is Administered by Comp-Sigma, Ltd. of Concord, New Hampshire. The easiest way to describe the services provided that operate the Trust is to say that the level of service provided is much higher than that typically seen in the commercial insurance market and there is more of it. For all practical purposes, Comp-Sigma, Ltd. operates the Sigma-One Trust at the direction of the Board of Trustees as a private insurance company with an extraordinary level of service.

Every new Member of Sigma-One receives a baseline Safety Survey which acts as a score card to identify the safety issues that are well addressed and under control and those that the Member needs to work on to be a successful, profitable Member of the Trust. That Member then receives quarterly Loss Control visits to work on the issues identified in that baseline audit. Every Member, large or small, is required to have these quarterly loss control visits as a condition of their Membership. It also provides an opportunity to develop a relationship with your Loss Control representative over time so you work together to eliminate issues that may result in injuries.

The Claims Adjusters at Comp-Sigma, Ltd. are professionals that manage claims rather than process them. Questionable claims are reviewed and denied when appropriate. Legitimate claims are managed through our Adjusters, Case Managers and Vocational Rehab Counselors to make certain that they receive the best and most appropriate care that can get them back to work in as timely a manner as possible. As a Member, you are involved in the claims process every step of the way. Our Staff share information with you about the ongoing management of the claim so you know exactly what is going on. There are no "surprises" that the claim has been settled without your knowledge and the claimant does not show up back at work unexpectedly. Likewise, if you have information about the claim that our adjusters need to know we facilitate the line of communication so they we know as much as we possible can about the claim so it can be properly managed.

Our Claims Adjusters have a lower claim case load than is typically seen in the commercial insurance industry so they have more than enough time to properly manage every claim we see. Our goal is to have enough time to professionally manage each and every claim and we staff accordingly to allow them the time to be professionals.

As a Member of the Sigma-One Trust you may also attend No Cost (FREE) seminars at Comp-Sigma's offices on a variety of Loss Control topics, as well as seminars provided by our business partners on topics ranging from Cash Management and Succession Planning to Employment Law and Dealing with Difficult Employees. As a Member, these seminars are provided at no cost to you. They are a benefit of your Membership.

Perhaps the most important aspect of the service that Comp-Sigma, Ltd. offers is accessibility. We are local - based in Concord, New Hampshire - and not several States away. We actually answer our phones with "live" human beings and always will. We do not use, nor will we ever use, voice mail! Whether you have an emergency or need a basic piece of information, someone will always be able to help you get an answer.
